SEOUL, March 30 (Korea Bizwire) – Although mobile shopping sites offer numerous benefits such as fast delivery or a convenient shopping experience, consumers still consider ‘cheap prices’ to be the most important quality when it comes to mobile shopping.
The advertising platform DMC Media conducted a survey on 800 adults between the ages of 19 and 59, asking them which ‘virtue’ of mobile shopping sites they thought was the most important. More than half (57.1 percent) of those who answered picked ‘cheap prices’ as the highest priority.
Convenient purchase and payment methods (35.9 percent) ranked second, followed by membership points and coupons (35 percent), and fast delivery (23.7 percent).
The subjects shopped on mobile sites 4.8 times on a monthly basis, and 6.9 percent answered that they purchased products from mobile shopping sites more than 11 times a month. The average amount of money spent per purchase was 72,000 won.
Another survey was conducted to define which shopping site gave consumers the most satisfaction. Coupang received the highest support from consumers regarding ‘fast delivery’ (84.6 percent) and ‘convenience’ (81.3 percent).
Tmon and We Make Price got good grades for ‘convenience’ (73.2 percent) and ‘cheap prices’ (75 percent). ‘Convenient purchase and payment methods’ (79.7 percent) and ‘product selection’ (70.4 percent) were selected to be the strong suits of open markets Auction and GMarket.
