JINCHEON, Apr. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — Cherry blossoms have reached full bloom near a 1,000 year old stone clapper bridge built during the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392) located in Jincheon County, North Chungcheong Province, attracting scores of visitors.
On Sunday, tourists were seen enjoying the view as they walked on the path that leads to and from the clapper bridge.
“The stone bridge built more than 1,000 years ago blends beautifully with the cherry blossoms,” said one visitor.
The clapper bridge, or nongdari, is known as South Korea’s oldest stone bridge, and dates back to the Goryeo Dynasty.
Gneiss was stacked to build the bridge, which is 93.6 meters in length, 3.6 meters in width, and 1.2 meters in height.
