Chevy Conducts Trial Runs Comparing Malibu with German Sedans

SEOUL, June 17 (Korea Bizwire) – Chevrolet conducted a trial run event comparing its European style sedan Malibu Diesel with other imported diesel models to show off its performance and high fuel efficiency.

On June 14, GM Korea, the car maker producing Chevrolet brand models, gave a chance to have a trial run by inviting 180 customers who wished to join the event in its website at the Korea Automobile Testing & Research Institute in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. During the test runs, the invitees experienced the stable driving safety, one of the strengths of the Malibu Diesel by comparing with BMW’s 320d and Volkswagen’s Passat Diesel.

In the circuit at KATRI, through the track driving and slalom driving, the participants could have chances to compare the driving performances between the Chevy Malibu and the German cars and the Malibu got very positive responses.

Especially, the participants could experience the fuel efficiency of the Malibu Diesel which became the talk of the town upon releasing of the model by driving total 28 kilometers of a national highway and check its solid basic performances and economic strength.

Meanwhile, the Malibu Diesel, based on the incredibly high driving performance, realizes high-quality European driving by equipping with a 2.0-liter diesel engine designed by GM Europe Powertrain and produced by Opel and Aisin, next-generation six-speed automatic transmission.
