SEOUL, May 26 (Korea Bizwire) — Chinese home appliance maker Roborock has launched the world’s first robot vacuum equipped with a 5-axis robotic arm, signaling a leap forward in smart home automation.
The newly introduced premium model, named Saros Z70, features a foldable robotic arm called “OmniGrip”, equipped with precision sensors, a camera, and LED lighting to detect the shape, weight, and surroundings of objects it intends to lift. The device can identify and move household items weighing up to 300 grams — such as socks, tissues, or slippers — to designated spots.
Beyond its pre-programmed recognition of 108 items, users can teach the Saros Z70 to recognize up to 50 additional objects through AI-powered customization.
Designed with a slim 7.98cm profile, the Z70 is capable of navigating under furniture and tight spaces with ease. It offers powerful 22,000Pa suction, dual anti-tangle brush systems, and dual spinning mop pads for more efficient cleaning.
The robot also includes adaptive height adjustment for its brushes, mops, and body, allowing it to traverse obstacles up to 4cm high with the help of a chassis lift system.
Complementing the vacuum is Roborock’s advanced Multi-Function Docking Station 4.0, which supports automatic dust disposal, 80°C hot water mop washing, dock self-cleaning, 55°C hot air drying, 2.5-hour fast charging, and an automated detergent dispenser.
The Saros Z70 reflects Roborock’s push to redefine convenience in the premium home cleaning market, integrating cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence into everyday appliances.
