As the glass walls of Lotte World Tower and the waters of Seokchon Lake can be seen in the picture, the photographer is estimated to have taken the picture from the 123rd floor of the skyscraper, which is still under construction.

Raskalov and his partner in crime Vadim Makhorov from Russia are famous for scaling famous structures all over the world, such as the Shanghai Tower in China, and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil over the past two and half years. Due to their exploits, some call them ‘city ninjas’.

However, the photo raised concerns about safety at Lotte’s new building.

When the two photographers posted pictures from Namsan Tower after they entered the country, Lotte posted warning signs on all of the major entrances to Lotte World Tower. Pictures of the photographers were displayed prominently, and security guards were instructed to inform the situation room once the ‘ninjas’ were caught and identified. (Image : Yonhap)

However, the strategies seem to have failed.

Lotte officials are looking into how they entered the building. However, they are struggling to find the answer as the two photographers have in the past made use of unconventional methods to elude security, like climbing up the walls of buildings.

Lotte World Tower, scheduled to be completed by the end of the year, is the fifth or sixth highest building in the world with its 123 stories. The tower structure was placed on top of the building earlier this month, and the interior is currently under construction.
