Day Use Guestrooms at Luxury Hotels Gain Popularity

SEOUL, July 8 (Korea Bizwire)Luxury hotels in downtown Seoul are speeding up efforts to promote ‘day use’ guestrooms normally available at cheaper inns.

Last month, The Shilla Seoul’s ‘Daytime Kids Playroom’ reservations jumped by 30 percent compared to January.

The ‘Daytime Kids Playroom’ package allows guests to use the hotel for 12 hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and was first introduced in November.

The Millennium Hilton Seoul introduced a new deal that allows guests to use guestrooms and swimming pools from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in August of last year. The hotel also offers discount coupons for hotel restaurants for a better leisure experience.

The Walkerhill Hotel & Resort offers a ‘Ladies Day Out’ package that comes with a suite and a special brunch, and is available between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Guests can also use different facilities inside the hotel.
