SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Korea Bizwire) — Broken ceramics will be used to create new art installations, Jongno District Office in Seoul announced on Tuesday.
The new initiative invites citizens to donate any kind of ceramic pottery including earthenware and porcelain to local community centers until February 2021.
All ceramic donations will be stored for future artwork production and will be used to create public artworks such as murals and visual art.
“I have no doubt that these broken and discarded glassware ceramics will be transformed into great art pieces,” said Kim Yeong-jong, mayor of Jongno District.
