SEOUL, Jul. 13 (Korea Bizwire) The wave of environmentally friendly efforts that recently hit the retail industry is now making similar strides in the fashion industry.

Leading fashion companies have recently launched a series of marketing campaigns that incorporate environmental issues while highlighting lower prices for their products.

K2, a popular outdoor brand, has released clothing made with environmentally friendly materials such as mulberry tree extracts and linen made from Chinese yams.

The mulberry tree extract is known to be highly antibacterial in addition to being environmentally friendly.

Patagonia, another popular outdoor sportswear brand, released a clothing line dubbed “the Recycle Collection,” made with materials from recyclable tree pulp.

Marmot recently launched its “Marmot Thread Line,” composed of clothing made from recycled plastic materials.

Global sports brand Adidas inked a partnership with Parley for the Oceans, an environmental group, to create a hoodie made with plastic waste collected from beaches and coastal communities.
