SEOUL, Sept. 21 (Korea Bizwire)As the Chuseok holiday has been prolonged to four days due to the adoption of a substitute holiday system, the booking rates of famous hotels, resorts, and camping sites are soaring.

Of note, the Oak Valley Resort in Wonju, Gangwon province, the Daemyung Resort in Byunsan and the Incheon Songdo International Camping Site have booked every one of their rooms.

As traveling during the holidays has become part of a new cultural landscape, lodgings are luring visitors with various discounts and events. Some have chosen to provide visitors with traditional Chuseok foods, including songpyeon, stuffed half-moon-shaped rice cakes. They are also preparing traditional games and cultural experiences for visitors such as tuho, a popular game where people try to throw sticks into a canister, and the making of rice cakes.
