YONGIN, May 13 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung C&T Corp.’s Resort Group, the operator of amusement park Everland, said Thursday it will release the Everland Metaverse next month.
The new metaverse platform, up for primary release on June 17, will allow users to virtually ride the T-express, join a water gun fight onboard the “Shooting Water Fun Parade Car” and catch fireflies.
Those who complete all of the metaverse missions will receive priority passes for the actual rides at Everland or gift coupons.
The Everland Metaverse will be built in PlayDapp Land, a virtual space released for U.S.-based Roblox.
Samsung C&T Resort Group has been working with PlayDapp since March to create a new metaverse platform that offers one-of-a-kind fun that combines both real and virtual aspects and expands the Everland universe.
Following the metaverse’s primary release, Everland plans to add a virtual speedway and golf course in a future update.
