SEOUL, May 31 (Korea Bizwire) – The popular K-pop boy group EXO will release its third studio album next month, the group’s agency said Tuesday.
It will be the first album by the act in six months since “Sing For You,” a winter-seasonal special album came out in December.
S.M. Entertainment said the album will drop on June 9 and the group will celebrate it with a large-scale showcase at Olympic Park in southern Seoul upon the eve of its release.
Debuting in 2012, EXO rose to fame in South Korea and China after its first full-length album titled “XOXO (Kisses & Hugs)” was released a year later. Its repackaged version sold more than 1 million copies in 2013, making EXO the first group to go platinum in 12 years in the South Korean pop music industry. The group’s second full-length album “Exodus,” released in 2015, also sold over 1 million copies.
