SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Korea Bizwire) – Four passenger vehicles by Hyundai Motor Company and its affiliate Kia Motors triumphed at the International Forum (iF) Design Awards 2017.
Three Kia vehicles – the Niro hybrid crossover, Optima (K5) Sportswagon, and all-new Rio (Pride) supermini – received awards for product design in the automobiles and vehicles category, while Hyundai’s family car, the i30, won the annual design award.
For Kia, it marks the eighth consecutive year of winning an iF award, and the fourth for Hyundai.
Their parent company, Hyundai Motor Group, is currently the world’s fifth-largest automotive group by sales, selling about 8 million cars per year. The group has set its annual sales target for 2017 at 8.25 million vehicles.
