HAMAN, Aug. 30 (Korea Bizwire) — The Gangju Sunflower Festival, offering marvelous views of 1 million sunflowers looking up at the sun, is just around the corner with festival organizers completing final preparations.
This year marks the seventh iteration of the festival, which will begin this coming Saturday in Gangju Village, Haman County, South Gyeongsang Province. The festivities will run until September 15.
The sunflowers are expected to reach full bloom next week, covering the entire village in a sea of yellow.
The sunflower field stretches over 48,000 square meters with photo zones and a pinwheel hill, offering visitors excellent views as well as entertainment.
The festival has drawn 600,000 visitors over the last six years, gaining popularity across the country.
