GANGNEUNG, Dec. 23 (Korea Bizwire) — The city of Gangneung in South Korea’s northeastern province of Gangwon said Wednesday that it will open the ‘Gangneung Pass Travelers Center’ in front of Gangneung Station on Dec. 27 to offer tourism and smart mobility user information to travelers.
The center comes as a part of the ‘MaaS: Mobility as a Service’ platform selected as an official project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport this year.
The center aims to assist travelers to tour every nook and corner of the city with ease by offering information on various smart mobility vehicles such as shared e-scooters, electric bikes and miniature EVs.
The center plans to introduce ‘smart helmet lockers’ next January, developed to ensure scooter riders wear helmets and protect their safety.
