SEOUL, Aug. 25 (Korea Bizwire) —In the recently unveiled vehicle technology satisfaction survey by renowned U.S. market research firm J.D. Power, Genesis and Hyundai have emerged as frontrunners, clinching the first and second positions, respectively.

Released on August 24, the 2023 U.S. Technology Experience Index (TXI) survey conducted by JD Power revealed that Genesis achieved an impressive score of 656 points, with Hyundai following closely with 547 points. This remarkable performance positioned both brands at the forefront, outshining competitors such as Cadillac (533), Lexus (533), and BMW (528).

The extensive TXI survey took place from February to May of this year, encompassing insights from a substantial pool of 80,000 consumers who had purchased new model year 2023 vehicles and owned them for a minimum of 90 days.

The research methodology involved a comprehensive customer survey, which evaluated satisfaction levels across 40 different technologies, using a 1,000-point scale. These technologies were scrutinized across four essential domains: comfort, cutting-edge automation technology, energy efficiency and sustainability, and infotainment as well as connectivity.

Notably, the luxury brand Genesis reaffirmed its dominance by securing the highest score of 656 points across both luxury and general brands. This marked the brand’s impressive third consecutive year at the summit of the overall rankings.

Hyundai, on the other hand, continued its streak of success, clinching the top position in the general brand category for the fourth successive year, boasting a commendable score of 547. In the broader scope of brand rankings, Hyundai secured the second position, trailing behind only Genesis.

Drawing attention to exceptional models, the Genesis GV80, Hyundai Palisade, and Sonata claimed recognition in the Advanced Technology Award category within the TXI.

The GV80 garnered acknowledgment for its exceptional implementation of forward collision-avoidance assist (FCA), thereby earning accolades for advanced automation technology. Meanwhile, the Palisade stood out for its superior application of rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist (RCCA).

In the domain of infotainment and connectivity, the Sonata shined by receiving recognition for its outstanding application of the mobile phone-based digital key technology.
