GIMHAE, May 23 (Korea Bizwire) — The city government of Gimhae in South Gyeongsang Province said Monday it will host a five-day walking challenge starting from Wednesday to celebrate World No Tobacco Day.
To commemorate World No Tobacco Day on May 31, the walking target has been set at 53,100 steps.
Gimhae citizens can participate in the walking challenge by joining the Gimhae community on a step-tracking app.
During the challenge, participants are encouraged to take pictures of nearby no-smoking banners or signs and upload them along with a caption or message of encouragement.
The daily step limit is capped at 15,000 steps.
Among those who successfully complete the missions, 531 citizens will have the chance to win various gifts through a lucky draw.
