SEOUL, Jan. 11 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean girl group Girls’ Generation has been invited to perform on Chinese TV for the Chinese New Year next month, the group’s agency said Monday.
The eight-member act will be the sole South Korean group to appear on Jiangsu TV’s “Spring Festival Gala,” which features Chinese megastars like Leon Lai, Aron Kwok, Sha Baoliang and Liu Yan, S.M. Entertainment said, adding the program airs on Feb. 8.
In a pre-recording session Sunday, Girls’ Generation performed “Gee,” “Lion Heart” and other hit songs, the agency added.
The group is also scheduled to stop at Thailand as part of its “Phantasia” tour on Jan. 30-31.’
