SEOUL, May 12 (Korea Bizwire) — After two years of cancellations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, South Korea’s only golf club charity concert festival will be held again.
Seowon Valley, a golf club on the northern outskirts of Seoul, on Wednesday announced that the Seowon Valley Green Concert will take place on May 28.
Launched in 2000, the concert is famous for raising money for charity by holding concert of musicians at stages utilizing golf course fairways and greens.
Thus far, this concert series has donated more than 600 million won (US$467,500). The number of visitors to the concert, which has been held 18 times so far, reached 450,000.
The golf club suspends operation the day of the concert and uses its nine holes for parking.
