SEOUL, April 28 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seocho District Office in Seoul has announced plans to expand its non-face-to-face library service through the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The district will introduce a chatbot service to enable users to search for, reserve and make new book applications in an all-in-one format, as well as to provide customized book recommendations.
The Seocho District Office will also introduce an AI book curation service. In addition, it will expand the non-face-to-face book borrowing system.
Unmanned book kiosks will also be installed at two district-run libraries to enable users to borrow books on a non-face-to-face basis.
In addition, the district office will improve its book payback service, which it introduced for the first time in the country.
The book payback service provides a 100 percent refund to those who buy books at bookstores within the district and return them within three weeks.
Starting from the latter half of this year, application and online payment will become possible through the website.
