SEOUL, Feb. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — The government plans to establish a platform that will enable users to check health-related information, including records on vaccination and medical treatment.
The new ‘My Healthway’ platform is a system that gathers information on individuals’ health, including medical treatment records, life habits, physical strength and food consumption.
Users will be able to have a better understanding of their health data more easily through devices like smartphones.
In addition to medical treatment and health management, the platform will also allow users to receive documents like medical charts, prescriptions and copies of MRI, CT and X-ray data.
Since the platform will be designed to compile vaccination records, it will also offer information on COVID-19 vaccination.
If users agree, the platform will be able to send users’ health information to medical institutions. With easier access to patient information, healthcare workers will be able to better cope with emergency situations.
The new platform is expected to clear the way for a variety of private institutions to support health management services.
