SEOUL, Korea, Dec 06 (Korea Bizwire) – The Korea Racing Authority has begun an “art marketing” program to spruce up the neighborhood of its Seoul Race Park in Gwacheon, the southern suburb of Seoul. The authority said on December 5 that it would unveil the Horse Art Project on the 6th along the walkway “Golden Horseshoe Road” connecting Jungmun Plaza in front of the park with the horse museum.

The walkway will be adorned with artworks including paintings, photographs, and potteries by four artists, all themed with the horse. The Korea Racing Authority set 2013 as the first year of the Horse Art Project and keep inviting renowned artists to the project.

Choi Won-il, the authority’s public relations manager, said, “The Horse Art Project will give our guests something to pause and spend several minutes before getting into the racetrack or going home. We want the race park to be more than just a place for betting and reborn as a comprehensive art space where people can feel good.”
