HADONG, Sept. 10 (Korea Bizwire) — Hadong, a county in South Gyeongsang Province, home to the beautiful Mount Jiri, is a being established as a shrine of environmental arts surrounded by nature.
The 2019 Jirisan International Arts Festa (JIIAF) will be held in Hadong from October 8.
Every year, the county has invited world-renowned environmental artists and other artists to an art festival event to develop their own works and made efforts to display them on-site.
The 2019 JIIAF, which will mark its fourth anniversary this year, will feature Australian upcycling installation artist Kevina-Jo Smith as a residency artist.
Kevina-Jo Smith has been staying at Jirisan Art Farm since last month and has been working on a sculpture installation art on the outer wall of the Jirisan Art Farm building with old ties, ropes, left over fabric and old clothes from the closets of residents of Seoul and Hadong.
