BUSAN, May 17 (Korea Bizwire) — The ‘15th Haeundae Sand Festival’, an eco-friendly festival based on sand, will be held for four days from May 24 at Haeundae Beach in Busan.
Fourteen sand sculpture artists from eight countries, including South Korea, the U.S., Japan, China, Belgium, Canada, Italy and the Netherlands, will create 20 works under the theme of music.
Each sand sculpture will have a theme song to offer both visual and auditory stimulation.
The ‘Haeundae Sand Festival’ also features Fringe festivals, street parades, a Flower Carpet Photo Zone, an Art Free Market and a Survival Water Gun Fight during the festival period.
The sand festival is more spectacular at night than during the day. A variety of lights will illuminate the sand sculptures, and a movie will be screened on a sand dune.
