SEOUL, Aug. 17 (Korea Bizwire) – Seoul’s biggest convention and exhibition center, COEX, is hosting the 2016 edition of the Halal Trade Expo Korea, providing an ultimate trading ground for Korean businesses looking to enter the fast-growing halal market.
“Despite the global economic downturn, the halal market is a newly emerging one with average annual growth of 11 percent,” said the expo’s organizing committee. “The market, as of April, was valued at $1.1 trillion.”
Companies from not only Korea, but also China, Japan, Indonesia, Pakistan, and European countries like Denmark and Turkey, will present their latest halal products.
The expo is part of Natural Week, a buyer-business matching event designed to provide business opportunities to overseas food companies wishing to make their entrance into the Korean market.
Other Natural Week events include the Dessert & Snack Pavilion, Seoul Fermented Food & Culture Show, and Return Farm & Edutainment Expo, all of which will be held at COEX until Saturday, August 20.
