SEOUL, Nov.16 (Korea Bizwire) – Traditional Korean houses in the Bukchon Hanok Village will now be open to the public, providing places to read and appreciate works of art.
Seoul city officials announced that they will be opening one of the seven hanok (traditional Korean house) that the city purchased in the Bukchon Hanok Village. The house will be changed into a public space with a study, gallery and reception room.

Bansongjae Library is a small library that holds 1,230 books, including children’s books, donated by public figures, residents, Samsung Publishing and the Seoul History Museum.

The gallery will host exhibitions with the theme ‘Hanok’.
Various cultural events are scheduled to be staged at the open hanok.
The hanok is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and the reception room can be used on weekday evenings.
