SEOUL, Aug. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — An increasing number of South Koreans are getting consolation from thinking about post-coronavirus travels.
Travel agency Interpark Tour analyzed demand for overseas air tickets for travel next year on the basis of the pre-reservations made during the June to July period of this year.
The analysis showed that quarantine-free travel bubble destinations such as Hawaii, Guam, Bangkok, Singapore and the Maldives were most favored.
On the basis of June reservations, Hawaii ranked first with 34 percent of the reservations, followed by Guam and Venice with 7 percent each, and Singapore, the Maldives and Washington with 4 percent each.
On the basis of July reservations, Hawaii ranked first again with 24 percent of the reservations, followed by Paris with 14 percent, Guam with 12 percent and the Maldives with 6 percent.
“Hawaii and Guam are the most popular resort areas and honeymoon trip destinations. They are favored by families with children and newly married couples thanks to their clean natural environment and peaceful public order,” Interpark Tour said.
