SEOUL, July 14 (Korea Bizwire) — With a growing number of Koreans planning trips accompanied by their pets, hotels and airlines are devising new services to attract them.
DoubleTree By Hilton Seoul Pangyo offers the rental of premium baby strollers, enabling guests to take leisurely walks with their pets.
The hotel additionally provides pet-exclusive dining sets, eco-friendly toys, and waste bags.
Josun Palace Seoul Gangnam has recently introduced a comprehensive package catering to pets, which includes exclusive amenities, a pet treadmill, toilet pads, a dining set, and dedicated dry rooms.
In the meantime, Jeju Air Co., South Korea’s largest low-cost carrier, now permits pets weighing up to 7 kilograms to accompany their owners on board.
Moreover, the airline has increased the maximum number of pets allowed per flight from three to six.
Since March, Jeju Air has also launched the industry’s first pet-exclusive lunchbox, known as the “pet travel lunchbox.”
