SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Korea Bizwire) – Eight models of South Korean carmakers Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp. have won top marks in a Chinese customer satisfaction survey, the companies said Sunday.
Hyundai’s Tucson ix, ix25, Santa Fe, Mingtu and Langdong, and Kia’s K2, K3 and KX3 scored the highest in their respective categories in the 2015 China Automobile Customer Satisfaction Index (CACSI).
Hyundai retained first place for the second year in a row in car maintenance satisfaction.
The CACSI is published by the China Quality Association every year, surveying 175 car models from 57 brands in 60 cities in China.
Kia’s K2 topped the list of small cars over 70,000 yuan (US$11,000) for the fourth consecutive year, while its K3 and Hyundai’s Langdong tied in the small to medium-sized cars between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan category.
Hyundai’s Mingtu became No. 1 in the small to medium-sized cars between 150,000 and 200,000 yuan group.
Among SUVs, Hyundai’s ix25, Tucson ix, Santa Fe and Kia’s KX3 received the best points in their classes.’
