SEOUL, May 3 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Mobis Co., South Korea’s biggest auto parts maker, on Monday rolled out the “bring&T” product designed to allow users to convert an existing smart key into a digital key using a Bluetooth-based smartphone connection.
A smart key can be used as a digital key if users attach the smart key to the main body of the bring&T product, connect it to a smartphone via Bluetooth, download the product application to the connected smartphone, and register the vehicle.
Hyundai Mobis said that the most outstanding function of the bring&T product is the auto door function, which automatically opens or closes the door by sensing the distance of users even when they are not carrying a smart key.
In addition, it allows users to enjoy a variety of non-face-to-face vehicle management services in connection with dealerships or professional service companies.
By sharing digital keys automatically with visiting maintenance personnel, a variety of non-face-to-face services have become possible, including door-to-door replacement of consumable items, on-site car washing, and on-site tire replacement.
