SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group unveiled the electrified Genesis G80 limousine, the official escort vehicle for the upcoming G20 summit scheduled for next month in Bali, Indonesia.
Hyundai held a ceremony on Tuesday in Jakarta to deliver the vehicles. The company sent 44 units of long wheel-based G80, 87 units of electrified G80 and 262 units of all-electric IONIQ 5 to the Indonesian government.
The electrified G80 limousine, specially tailored for the summit, has been extended by 217 millimeters in length, enabling a larger, wider interior.
Hyundai Motor has been selected by Indonesia to provide the official escort vehicles for the summit, likely due to the fact that the carmaker completed the 150,000 unit-a-year plant in the Deltamas industrial complex in December last year.
