SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor Co.’s luxury car brand Genesis said Monday that it will diversify its monthly car subscription service in light of the price range and type of vehicle by adding a new option that allows users to subscribe to only one type of car.
Genesis Spectrum, launched in 2018, is the country’s first monthly car subscription service.
Under this program, subscribers can drive a variety of Genesis vehicles if they pay monthly subscription fees.
Thus far, this program has allowed subscribers to drive a variety of models such as the G70, G80 sedans and GV80 SUV for 1.89 million won (US$1,700) per month.
Genesis decided to introduce a new option for this program, enabling users to subscribe to only one model.
Under the new option, subscribers can drive only a single model on a monthly basis and the subscription fees are different by model.
The monthly subscription fee for the G70 is set at 1.39 million won.
G90 flagship sedan, which was previously only available only for a short-term subscription of 24 to 72 hours, can be used for a month at a subscription rate of 2.95 million won.
The benefits of existing subscription programs are also strengthened. Free coupons for 24 hours in a G90 will be extended twice every three months to those who buy a three-month or six-month subscription.
