SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Co.’s Ioniq 9 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) came out on top among competing global models in a recent comparison test conducted by Germany’s leading automotive magazine, Auto Zeitung, the South Korean automaker said Friday.
The Ioniq 9 was rated highest among competitors — BMW’s iX, Volvo’s EX90 and the Polestar 3 — across categories of body design, driving comfort, powertrain performance, dynamic driving capability, and environmental and cost efficiency.
The model earned particularly high marks for its spacious interior, giving it an edge over its competitors in terms of comfort and practicality.
The publication also praised the vehicle’s interior flexibility, including its power-adjustable second-row leg rests, electronically folding third-row seats and class-leading cargo capacity.
A Hyundai Motor official said the company was pleased by the recognition from the respected German outlet, adding that it will continue efforts to deliver a top-tier electrified driving experience.
