SEOUL, Korea, Jan 17 (Korea Bizwire) – The K-Pop Hologram Performance Stage will open on the 9th floor of the Fit-in Shopping Mall in Seoul’s Dongdaemun on January 17. With financial support from KT (8.3 billion won) and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (1 billion won), the 1,650-square-meter stage consists of the concert hall and the digital attraction.
At the concert hall, hologram shows featuring K-Pop stars such as Psy, Bigbang, and 2NE1 will be put on eight times a day. The digital attraction includes the augmented reality elevator, the dynamic wall that opens up in the middle of the show, and the 270-degree view “media facade.”
KT plans to establish similar performance stages elsewhere in Jeju and Seoul’s Myeongdong for foreign guests from Japan, China, and Southeast Asia. In addition to the 1-billion-won subsidies, the ICT Ministry has disbursed 4.3 billion won to small tech ventures to lend support in hologram content development projects.
