YEONGJONG ISLAND, Sept. 16 (Korea Bizwire) — A new smartphone app lets users know how long it will take them to get from home to their boarding gate at Incheon International Airport.
The Incheon International Airport Corp. introduced the world’s first ‘Home to Airport’ service provided by an international airport on Wednesday, which calculates the estimated travel time from a traveller’s home to their boarding gate at the airport.
The service, available on the airport operator’s information app, offers an estimate of both overall and specific travel time sorted by sectors within the airport by typing in the point of departure and flight number.
The app offers the optimum travel route by recommending the parking lot located closest to the boarding terminal.
The corporation expects that the new service will allow travellers to schedule their time more flexibly rather than spending long hours at the airport waiting for their flight.
