Jeju Sees Increase in Sports-Oriented Tourists

JEJU, Apr. 29 (Korea Bizwire) — More visitors are coming to Jeju to get some exercise.

According to the Jeju Tourism Association, the number of visitors to Jeju for sporting activities between January and March 2015 was 406,451, which was a 16.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Their share among all tourists stood at 17.6 percent, which also increased from 16.8 percent last year.

The association is expecting to see continuing increases in visitors wishing to take part in sporting activities, as various festivals including a marathon are scheduled to be held starting in April.
