SEOUL, March 14 (Korea Bizwire) — Jennie of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has set a new record for first-week album sales for an album by a K-pop female soloist released this year, her agency said Friday.
Jennie’s first studio album, “Ruby,” sold more than 660,000 copies in its first week after being released on March 7, OA Entertainment said, citing data from Hanteo Chart, a leading local tracker of album sales.
The figure marks the highest first-week debut album sales for any album released by a K-pop female solo artist this year.
