GOYANG, South Korea, May 25 (Korea Bizwire) – KINTEX, the Korea International Exhibition & Convention Center in Goyang, is simultaneously hosting the Korea International Boat Show 2017 and the 2017 PlayX4, a videogame expo, from May 25 to 28.
KIBS 2017 marks its 10th anniversary this year, and will feature the wares of 261 businesses from Korea and overseas, including the latest yachts and boats, targeting South Korea’s fast growing marine leisure industry.
The event is one of the three biggest boat shows in Asia alongside similar events in Dubai and Shanghai, officials said, who hope to see some 43,000 visitors this year.
The 2017 PlayX4 expo, on the other hand, will be the biggest event for officials to host to date. It is not only showcasing the latest videogames incorporating VR and AR, but also game ideas of the future and entertainment from the past. Some 600 businesses are participating, with officials expecting at least 60,000 visitors during the four-day festivities.
PlayX4 launched in 2009 under the title of Korea Serious Game Festival, which later changed to Good Game Show Korea in 2013, and then again to the current title starting last year.
