ULSAN, South Korea, Jan. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — Korean Air Lines Co. will fly its new CS300 aircraft on the Seoul-Ulsan route later this month, Ulsan city government said Wednesday.
South Korea’s flagship carrier will fly two fuel-efficient 127-seat CS300s, manufactured by Canadian aircraft company Bombardier, on domestic routes linking Seoul to Ulsan, Pohang, Yeosu and Sacheon from Jan. 16.
Ulsan is a major industrial city 414 kilometers southeast of Seoul. It is home to the country’s largest car manufacturing and shipbuilding facilities.
Air Busan Co., the budget carrier unit of Asiana Airlines Inc., will also fly two additional flights to Ulsan from Gimpo Airport in Seoul on Fridays and Sundays between Jan. 5 and 28, bringing the total daily flights linking Gimpo and Ulsan on those two days to four.
From Feb. 1, Air Busan will operate five flights on the Gimpo-Ulsan route every day.
Korean Air currently operates five flights every day on the Gimpo-Ulsan route.
