Korean Celebrities Pray for Nepal

SEOUL, April 27 (Korea Bizwire) As the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal on April 26 has left more than 2,300 people dead so far, Korean broadcasters and actors are offering up messages of support.

Oh Sang-Jin, a Korean broadcaster who went to Nepal on April 24 to participate in NGO activities, wrote on his Facebook page that Kathmandu is in serious condition, and Nepalese citizens are currently staying outside of buildings in fear of being hit by aftershocks. He pleaded with Korean citizens to pray for and support the Nepalese.

Sujan Shakya, a Nepalese TV personality working in Korea, said on his Instagram page that he couldn’t even dare to imagine what it would be like in Nepal right now, as the damage was too awful. He also said that he had spoken with his family in Nepal.

Lee Jung-Jin, an actor and a photographer who is holding a private exhibition featuring photographs of Nepal and Kenya from April 26 to May 5 to raise money to establish libraries in Nepal, said that he would visit the country soon to offer his support.

Choi Si-Won from Super Junior, Min-Ah from Girlsday, Bang Yong-Guk from B.A.P and actress Lee Chung-Ah also wrote on their SNS pages to appeal to the public to offer support to Nepal.
