SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — The Korea Tourism Organization is hosting ‘K-Week, Imagine your Korea’ in Spain, with the theme of ‘discovering Korea in everyday life.’
The event will teach Korean calligraphy, Korean-style make-up and Korean cooking classes at a local studio in Madrid from Oct. 15-21.
The studio will also host a photo exhibition for visitors to indirectly experience what it’s like to visit South Korea.
An accommodation facility in Madrid has been decorated into a traditional Korean home, where visitors can try out various Korean cultural traditions such as knotting and tea ceremonies.
The Korea Tourism Organization turned a local street into an exhibition platform for ‘1,000 lotus lanterns,’ and placed Korean pictograms at some 100 locations with a high floating population.
On Sunday, the event hosted various programs including kite-flying, K-pop cover dance and taekwondo performances at Columbus Square.
