SEOUL, March 3 (Korea Bizwire) — A Korean volunteer organization has offered free coronavirus tests in Koreatown, Los Angeles on Monday (local time) to promote South Korean medical products.
The tests took place in front of Wilshire Park Place, where test kits, walk-through clinics and mobile quarantine machines from South Korea were employed.
The event was hosted by the Hwarang Youth Foundation, a volunteer organization based in Los Angeles, to offer free COVID-19 tests to local Koreans and residents.
Korean healthcare workers who volunteered at the event used Korean-made coronavirus test kits approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to test visitors for the coronavirus free of charge.
The tests were also carried out at walk-through clinics that reduce the risk of infection by blocking physical contact between healthcare workers and individuals getting tested.
Mobile quarantine machines that spray liquid sterilizer were also set up around the clinic.
