SEOUL, June 26 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Water Authority announced Thursday its plans to introduce an artificial intelligence (AI)-based water quality management system supported by the Seoul Digital Foundation’s data consulting services.
The authority aims to set up a preemptive water quality management system by incorporating big data and AI technology into the monitoring system that manages Arisu, Seoul’s tap water brand.
Both agencies decided to team up with the Seoul National University of Science and Technology, an expert panel on AI, water, and waterworks, and other private institutions to maximize synergy.
Seoul aims to complete AI development by 2022 after going through a series of machine learning processes.
