SEOUL, March 28 (Korea Bizwire)KT announced on March 27 that it is incorporating artificial intelligence technology into the marketing campaign for its Genie TV original series “New Recruit 3,” scheduled to premiere on April 7.

The company’s newly established AI Studio Lab, specializing in AI media content, has produced promotional videos for the series using 100% AI technology. The lab will also release AI-generated recap videos of key scenes from “New Recruit 1 and 2″ and short-form highlight clips of “New Recruit 3.”

According to KT, the introduction of AI production systems has reduced promotional video production time and costs by more than 90% compared to traditional methods.

The telecommunications giant plans to extend AI technology to content on its KT ENA and KT Studio Genie YouTube channels. This includes AI-driven re-editing of popular programs like “I Am Solo” (a collaboration between KT ENA and SBS Plus) focusing on trending characters like Ok-soon, and automated creation of short-form content from movies, animations, and international series.

The AI short-form production capabilities go beyond simple video compression, offering customized editing styles that consider content storylines. These include clip-type, character-focused, action-based, review-style, and trailer-format options. For instance, action-based AI editing focuses on specific activities like dancing or singing, while character-based editing develops narratives from selected characters’ perspectives.

KT highlighted its differentiated AI technology for short-form content production, particularly emphasizing its patented “Focus View” technology, which automatically identifies appropriate focal points during video production.
