SEOUL, July 8 (Korea Bizwire) – KT Corp., South Korea’s second-largest mobile carrier by sales, said Friday it has set up networks for Wi-Fi connections in 20 of the Navy’s submarines to allow sailors access to the internet. 

The Wi-Fi networks will help Navy soldiers aboard submarines participate in online information communication technology education programs offered by KT and enjoy some cultural content, the telecom company said. 

The move is part of the Ministry of National Defense’s win-win campaign, it said, adding KT executives and employees will be allowed to join the ministry’s security programs that include field trips to a submarine.
