CHUNCHEON, May 10 (Korea Bizwire) —LEGOLAND Korea has released today its first visitor numbers since opening in May last year. According to Legoland’s computerized admission system, one million people have visited the theme park in more than a year from its opening on May 5 last year.
LEGOLAND was previously unable to disclose the number of visitors due to the international headquarters’ policy of not disclosing such information. However, due to strong community-wide demand, the Korean branch was able to convince the headquarters to release the numbers.
LEGOLAND plans to disclose cumulative visitor numbers in one million increments moving forward. The company explained that their target of 2 million visitors per year was not a realistic first-year target due to the excavation of cultural assets and the adverse effects of COVID-19. Despite this, LEGOLAND remains optimistic about its future growth and ability to meet the expectations of the local community.
