SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Korea Bizwire) – An ultra-large sized UHD TV has hit the shelves in South Korea. LG Electronics said its 98-inch UHD TV (98UB9850) — 97.5 inches measured diagonally which is a combined size of four 48-inch TVs — has been available in the local market starting on October 8.
With the overwhelming size of 2.3 meter-width and 1.6 meter-height, this gigantic screen offers the best performance, picture quality and sound based on its IPS panel of 3840×2160 ultra-high definition. The 98-inch UHD TV also features a 5.2 channel 120W audio system by harman/kardon that comes out only when the TV is on. Embedded with LG’s propriety Smart TV+ webOS, it has improved the user convenience. The suggested price of the new model is 39 million won(US$36,300).
