SEOUL, Feb. 19 (Korea Bizwire)LG Electronics Inc. said Friday it has joined forces with a Danish-based audio firm to provide better sound-related features on its smartphones, including the upcoming flagship G5.

The South Korean tech firm said the G5 smartphone will come with Bang & Olufsen’s stereo to provide premium sound on the new device.

LG and Bang & Olufsen said they have developed what they call hi-fi audio technology that will deliver high-quality sound on mobile devices.

The announcement follows another official update from LG on the G5.

The G5 smartphone will be introduced on Feb. 21, a day before the opening of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. On the same day, LG’s bigger rival Samsung Electronics Co. will showcase its new flagship.

LG also hinted earlier that the G5 will come with a double screen that displays key information, such as the time and the remaining battery life. The feature was first adopted by the V10 smartphone last year.

In its earlier teaser advertisement, LG Electronics used the phrase “play begins” with a photo of a music box. LG plans to join forces with B&O Play, a business unit under Bang & Olufsen.’
