SEOUL, Sep. 29 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics brings down the price tag of its 55-inch curved OLED television — down to 3.99 million won, a quarter of its previous model’s list price. The new five-millimeter-thick TV is equipped with Web operating system with enhancement of more UI-friendly features. Furthermore, the high-definition model offers a special menu eGallery, enabling it to serve as a kind of home gallery displaying artworks and pictures with background music.
LG’s shift in pricing policy for the popular TV model is aimed at revitalizing apparently stalled OLED television market. “The marked down model is expected to offer more consumers with opportunities to experience its superior quality,” Huh Jae-chul, marketing director of LG Electronics, said.
