SEOUL, March 3 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. on Thursday unveiled a new concept of residential space offering a distinguished customer experience by converging space with home electronics and services.
The conpect, tentatively named LG Smart Cottage, is a small modular house equipped with LG’s advanced energy and air conditioning technology and filled with its premium home electronics.
It’s built on a prefab basis with premade structures being installed on-site.
The smart cottage prototype has a two-story one-room structure with a floor space of 31.4 square meters.
The living room and kitchen are in one space, and the bathroom and powder room are separate. The bedroom is located on the second floor.
A 4-kilowatt solar panel is installed on the rooftop, enabling partial self-production of the energy used within the smart cottage.
Inside the smart cottage are a variety of premium home electronics equipped with various energy-saving technologies, including the Objet Collection wash tower compact, dishwasher, induction microwave oven, and water purifier.
The Therma V Monoblock, a heat pump heating and cooling system, is installed to greatly reduce energy consumption.
