SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Korea Bizwire) –LG Electronics introduced a special version of their LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor, known as the LoL Edition. This monitor is designed and optimized specifically for the popular online game “League of Legends” (LoL).
League of Legends is the world’s most popular game, boasting 200 million monthly active users. It has active leagues in each continent, and the top teams from these leagues compete in a global competition called the ‘Rolled Cup.’ Additionally, it has been recognized as an official sport in the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The LoL Edition is a limited version of the 27-inch OLED gaming monitor released earlier this year. It features a customized design related to League of Legends, including icons representing the game’s characters and the game’s logo on the back of the monitor and its stand. When you power on the monitor, you can choose a game-themed font and design through the on-screen settings menu.
The monitor offers a super-fast response time of 0.03ms (GtG), thanks to the advantages of self-luminous OLED technology. This ensures smooth gameplay with fast screen transitions. Moreover, it supports an impressive 240Hz refresh rate, making it the world’s first OLED monitor capable of displaying 240 images per second.
The monitor’s contrast ratio is an impressive 1.5 million to 1, and it covers 98.5 percent of the Digital Cinema Institute’s (DCI) standard color gamut DCI-P3. This means you can expect rich and accurate colors, according to LG.
The LoL Edition was initially launched in Europe, starting in Germany last month, and it has now become available for pre-order in Korea through a live broadcast on LG’s online brand shop starting on the 16th, with pre-orders open from the 17th to the 22nd.
It’s worth noting that LG UltraGear gaming monitors were chosen as the official monitors for the Korean and European leagues of League of Legends last year and this year.
